Policies

Last updated [date]

These policies are a starting template for FocusPocus. Replace the [bracketed] details and have them reviewed before you rely on them. They are not legal advice.

Privacy Policy

FocusPocus is built to keep your data on your own device. This policy explains what that means in practice.

What runs on your device

The browser extension, the Android app, and the computer block files all do their blocking locally. Your blocklists, schedules, and settings stay on your device. We do not run servers that receive your browsing activity, and we do not sell or share personal data.

This website

The site itself is a set of static pages. We do not require an account to browse it. Standard web-server logs (such as IP address and page requested) may be kept by the hosting provider for security and diagnostics.

Payments

When you buy the computer block files, the payment is handled by PayPal. PayPal processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we receive a confirmation that the payment completed, not your card or bank details. We use that confirmation only to release your download.

Fonts and third parties

Pages load a web font from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of serving the font. The checkout page loads PayPal's scripts so payment can work. No other third-party trackers are used.

Your choices

Because your blocking data lives on your device, you can clear it at any time by removing the block files, uninstalling the extension or app, or clearing their stored settings. For any request about data held by us, contact [your email].

Terms of Use

What you're getting

Changes

We may update the software and these terms over time. Continued use after an update means you accept the current version.
